“There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends
I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all…’
"In My Life" by The Beatles
If anyone knows me from my youngest days, they’ll remember that I loved the Beatles. I first got acquainted with the Fab Four through my Aunt Chris. I have a memory of her standing over Grandma Zup’s stereo with her long blondish-brown hair brushing her shoulders as she viewed a record jacket. I was so little and I thought Aunt Chris looked so beautiful. Of course, this was well after the Beatles actually broke up, yet I loved the music. I can still sing just about all their songs by heart.
The song “In My Life” illustrates how I feel about the connections I made with people and places that have become a part of my life. I love exploring the human experience, and if you’ve intrigued me in some way, you may find yourself on these pages. Don’t worry, I’ll change names to protect the innocent.
